As you cross the footbridge you will see ahead of you the water meadows stretching across the valley.
On the far bank of the river you will see a host of water birds on the mill pond.
Just stop and imagine this scene as John Constable faithfully painted it all those years ago. Sometimes artists come and sit painting at this spot. I wonder if any of them will become as famous as Constable next century.
